What is the difference between the various units?
The TRAX Accumulator only collects overall volume totals and does not require software to use. It can use one
or two road tubes or loop detectors to collect data. This unit is often used by parks and commercial businesses
who want to get traffic volumes without having to use software.
The TRAX Totalizer has the same abilities of the Accumulator, but adds the ability to collect interval totals with
the overall volume total. The interval used can be daily or hourly, and can be read from the unit's display. It can
use one or two road tubes or loop detectors to collect data. Like the Accumulator, the Totalizer is often used by
parks and commercial businesses.
The JAMAR Echo collects data using acoustic sensing, rather than road tubes or loops. It is ideal for low
volume roads or unpaved locations.
The TRAX RD Plus has all the abilities of the TRAX RD and adds the ability to store GPS information. It also
has a built-in road tube diagnostic.
The TRAX I Plus has all the abilities of the TRAX RD Plus and adds the ability to store data in a binned format,
for those looking for the greatest flexibility.
The TRAX III Plus uses loop detectors and/or road tubes to collect volume, binned and or basic data. It is
designed to be downloaded to our TRAXPro software and can use up to 8 loops and 8 piezos or 4 road tubes.
The TRAX Plus HS has all the abilities of the TRAX RD Plus, and adds the capability of advanced processing
speed and power. This allows it to collect data for speed, class and gap with the smallest tube spacing in the
world - 4 inches - using the revolutionary EZ Belt technology.
The TRAX Flex HS increases the processing speed of the TRAX line, to provide the highest degree of data
accuracy. It also adds USB port download capability and the abiliy to directly upload firmware changes into the
unit.
